EC reduces notice period for registration of political parties – New Delhi News

The EC had introduced the ballot schedule for Meeting elections in 5 states — Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur — on January 8.

“After contemplating all points of the matter, the Fee has given a leisure and decreased the notice period from 30 days to 7 days for parties which have printed their public notice on or earlier than 08.01.2022,” an EC assertion stated.

“For all parties, together with of these parties which have already printed the general public notice in lower than 7 days previous to 08.01.2022, objections, if any, may be submitted newest by 5.30 PM on twenty first January, 2022, or by the top of the initially supplied 30 days’ period, whichever is earlier,” it added.

“As per the present pointers, the applicant affiliation is inter-alia requested to publish the proposed title of the get together in two nationwide and two native dailies on two days for submitting objections, if any, with regard to the proposed registration of the get together earlier than the Fee inside 30 days from such publication,” the EC stated.
